Bungarribee is becoming even better

We’re continuously working to make Bungarribee Park even better! The work that’s underway right now will be ready for visitors to enjoy before too long. It includes longer cycling and walking tracks, larger picnic areas, new play areas, more shade trees and a bigger car park.

A new walking track features 6 bridges that criss-cross Eastern Creek, making for a fun and picturesque stroll.

Ahead of the July school holidays, we’re installing a nature play area near the creek, where kids can splash around in puddles, navigate a series of log-shaped balance beams and make mud pies.

As you know, the Sydney Zoo is opening later this year and we’ve been busy landscaping to make sure the new entranceway looks its best. The work is almost complete and includes some eye-catching new structures.

At the moment, the focus is on some essential improvements like patching up the turf in the kick-about areas and freshening up the picnic shelters.

It’s business as usual for most of Bungarribee over the April school holidays though Buurah and Guwing shelters are temporarily unavailable.

Come and play in Sydney’s biggest backyard!
