The Parklands celebrated Australia Day at Plough & Harrow and Pimelea Picnic Grounds. Staff were on deck to hands out heaps of Australian flags to picnicers to really help get into the spirit of this national celebration.
Australia Day also marked the launch of the Western Sydney Parklands Trust's 'People in the Parklands' visitors' survey. This questionnaire is designed to capture a range of information from what part of Sydney our visitors originate to what they most enjoy about the Parklands and what facilities they would like to see there in the future.
A huge number of people from many different ethnic backgrounds came together in the Parklands to celebrate our national day with family and friends and wave the Aussie flag.
