Booking FAQs

The shelter I want has an X on it

When a shelter has already been hired or is not available, an X will appear under the date. Please select another shelter or date for your booking.

I can't select the date I want

The period you have selected is not open for bookings. Bookings can be made a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 90 days from today.

I want to change my booking type

The booking type is selected at the start of the booking process. Please go back to the start and select the correct booking type.

Do I have to pay with a credit card?

Yes all bookings are required to be paid in full with a valid credit card at the time of the booking. No other payment methods are available.

How do you stop people using my shelter?

We will place a reservation sign at the hired shelter so that other park users are aware that the shelter has been booked. Our ranger team manages bookings and will be able to assist if there are any issues. 

Can I decorate the shelter?

You are able to decorate the shelter with streamers, balloons (not helium), signs and similar decorations. All decorations must be attached with string or streamers and must be fully removed after your booking. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.

Can I bring a jumping castle or other items?

We understand that some people like to bring extra items to their functions.

The Acacia Shelter at Lizard Log is the only suitable location for inclusions like:

  • Amusements and rides such as jumping castles, go karts, ball pits etc
  • Onsite caterers like coffee carts or spit roasts
  • Marquees or shade structures larger than 3m x 3m
  • Stalls (information or commercial)
  • Animals and/or mobile zoos provided for entertainment or display
  • Amplified music, public announcement systems, musical performances and the playing of musical instruments
  • Generators

Can I alter my booking?

Once you have a confirmed booking, you can only change the booking details (eg. date, arrival time) but not the area or shelter hired. To alter your booking, you will need to email your request to bookings@wspt.nsw.gov.au quoting your booking number, area and date. Fees may apply and a minimum of 14 days notice is required. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

Can I swap the shelter / area that I have booked?

You are not able to change the shelter or area you have hired once your booking has been confirmed. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

What if it rains on the day?

We will ensure that the area is still available for you, we do not offer any refunds or postponements if you to chose to cancel on the day of your booking.

Can I cancel my booking?

To cancel your booking, you will need to email your request to bookings@wspt.nsw.gov.au quoting your booking number, area and date. Cancellation fees do apply and vary depending on the notice provided. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
